Terms of Service

Effective Date: July 1, 2026

1. Acceptance of These Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of JAKGA (the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Definitions

  • "Service": the comic / web novel author and work information archive platform provided by JAKGA.
  • "User": anyone who accesses the Service, whether or not they have an account.
  • "Member": a user who has registered an account with the Service.
  • "Contribution": the activity of reporting missing or incorrect author/work information and submitting correction requests. Source data is automatically collected by crawlers from publicly available platforms.

3. Changes to These Terms

  • We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to the Service or applicable laws.
  • Material changes will be announced through the Service at least 7 days before they take effect.
  • Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

4. Accounts and Eligibility

  • You must be at least 13 years old — or the higher minimum age required in your country — to create an account.
  • Registration is completed via social login after agreeing to these Terms.
  • We may refuse or revoke registration for: use of another person's identity, provision of false information, or failure to meet eligibility requirements.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

5. The Service

The Service provides:

  • Browsing author and work information
  • Tracking serialization schedules and follow-based curation
  • Submitting contributions and correction requests for missing or incorrect data
  • Submitting 1:1 inquiries and suggestions
  • We may modify or discontinue parts of the Service with reasonable notice where required.

6. User Conduct

When using the Service, you must not:

  • Impersonate another person or use another person's information
  • Alter, disrupt, or interfere with the Service or information posted on it
  • Infringe intellectual property or other rights of third parties
  • Submit false contributions or repeated spam contributions
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose

7. Contributions

  • You must provide accurate and reliable information in your contributions.
  • We decide whether to apply submissions after internal review.
  • By submitting a contribution, you grant JAKGA a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and display it within the Service.
  • No monetary compensation is provided for contributions.

8. Intellectual Property and Third-Party Content

  • Content created by the Service belongs to JAKGA.
  • For source data collected by crawlers, the rights of the original platforms and copyright holders take precedence. The Service uses such data only within the scope of indexing and restructuring publicly available information.
  • Links to third-party platforms are provided for convenience and are not endorsements. We are not responsible for third-party content or services.

9. Advertising

  • Personalized advertisements may be served via Google AdSense.
  • Advertisers are solely responsible for their advertisements and content.

10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

  • The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
  • We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of information posted on the Service.
  • To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, JAKGA is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
  • We are not liable for failures caused by force majeure events or by the user's own fault.
  • Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

  • The Service is operated from the Republic of Korea. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
  • Any dispute arising out of or in connection with the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the court having jurisdiction over the Service's headquarters in the Republic of Korea.
  • Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer protection rights you may have under the laws of your country of residence.

These Terms take effect on July 1, 2026.
